The new counting fence at Village Bay Lake is almost complete! The shiny new aluminum fence replaces an older version (that is now doing service at Quinsam hatchery) and will allow counts of returning adults as well as out-migrating smolts. A useful tool indeed!

Well done to Lawrie Bowles for heading up this project, and to Grant Erikson (formerly of Quadra, now of Stories Beach) for fabrication....and of course to all volunteers who have been invaluable on this project!
