Drive by the Senior Housing property on O'Connor Drive and see the progress! Thanks to the owners of Discovery Forestry for donating the machinery (19 hours) and to operators Jill Sampson and Grant Hayden to place 40 cubic yards of washed rock plus local fill and topsoil to fill the trench that was in the middle of the lot.
Val Barr and Kurt Hagen spent 5 hours placing drainage pipe in the trench prior to backfilling with drain rock delivered to the site by Roy Dahlnas.
WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB !!
All the work was done on a volunteer basis, with the only charge being for fuel. A tremendous THANK YOU for all involved!
The Society has a need for a Treasurer, and also a Fundraiser - two important jobs for the future of the project. With well over two hundred local members of QISHS, there should be two willing to help out in these capacities.
Please put on your thinking caps to find two generous people willing to help. Contact Ken Duncan at 285-3787 or Bob Lasby at 285-3501
