As soon as BCHydro installs power, the well will be pumped for two weeks to check volume, and a water test done prior to applying for a permit. Rick Milne will design the water system and prepare the application. At the same time, application will be prepared for the water/power building and the revised duplex plans. It is suggested that the SRD will take about 8 weeks to approve these applications, and if all goes well we should be ready for concrete, lumber & nails in early Spring.
The good news is that a private donation of $5,000 has been received, and the Legion grant of $5,000 is progressing. Both these donations are particularly appreciated at this time, since the above work will cost about $16,000. Another 13 donations of $5,000 will put us in position to start construction of the first duplex, so if you know someone who can afford this amount—give them some encouragement!
