On Thursday, October 28, at 6:30pm, you are invited to join others for a 'think & talk' evening in an informal, coffee room setting at the Campbell River Museum. The topic is ‘The Controversy Over Climate Change’, and the discussion will be facilitated by journalist Michael McIvor of Quadra Island, who brings his expertise and knowledge of international affairs to the new program.
Michael believes that the evening's value comes from sharing points of view. When asked what prompted him to lead the series, McIvor said that, "sharing views on a diversity of issues is not only informative and stimulating; it is also grassroots democracy in action."
Klari Varallyai, one of the evening’s sponsors, has been very enthusiastic about the series. “Since coming from Hungary many years ago”, she says, “this is one of the most enjoyable and interesting evening of discussions I've had with a mixed group of people about things that influence our day to day life."
Past participants have commented on the quality of the facilitation and how much they enjoyed hearing other people’s views. We invite and encourage all ages to come out and join the discussion. Admission is free thanks to sponsor Dave's Tax Service Ltd. Coffee and wine service will be available. For further information, contact the Museum at 250-287-3103.
