Opening June 1st in the DRAW Gallery at Drawing Room Art Works is Nomads - new works from d.oram. Davyd Oram’s art exists as a reaction to the world he lives in - like a storyboard for the comic strip he’s waltzing through, it has come out of a desire to document these adventures and characters he’s encountered along the way. By throwing some paint across a canvas Davyd reminds people that there is some sublime beauty out there in simple acts of expression. No matter what vehicle you use to get there, it’s the act of expressing your thoughts and struggling to create something valid that makes this world beautiful.
If you’d like to but haven’t had a chance yet, The Spring Group Show can still be viewed at the Gallery until Saturday May 26th.
Drawing Room Art Works and DRAW Gallery is located behind Village Square, on Quadra Island, upstairs/rear, follow the signs. Quadra Island Studio Tour June 2 & 3rd Hours are 10 - 5pm. You are invited to attend the artist’s reception on Friday June 1st at 7pm. Gallery Hours are Thursday thru Saturday 12 – 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
