Quadra Island Artists are preparing their studios and putting the finishing touches on their artworks in advance of the 5th annual Quadra Island Studio Tour on June 2nd and 3rd. Over 30 artists will be exhibiting their work at 17 studios, 3 galleries and the big show at the Quadra Community Centre where there is also a group exhibition on the stage and a lunch concession. Such diverse art forms as painting, sculpture, pottery, fabric art, blacksmithing, printmaking, jewelry making, glassblowing and even a guitar maker are featured in this years show. Many of the artists will be doing demonstrations of their techniques. It’s an enjoyable way to explore the scenic and artistic delights of Quadra and many visitors make a point of returning each year.
