Sydney Williams is a singer/songwriter living on Quadra Island, BC. She is 21 years old, and writing and performing music is her lifelong passion and goal.

After going blind at the age of three, Sydney was given her first piano by the Make A Wish Foundation. She’s been making music ever since, and in 2008 completed her first full length CD.

‘Three Hundred Feet’ was recorded in Victoria by award-winning producer Corwin Fox, with a guest appearance on the CD by multi-instrumentalist Shane Philip.

Two years later Sydney recorded her second full length CD, ‘Glow’, again recorded by Corwyn Fox and scheduled for release in June 2011.

Sydney’s music draws from diverse sources. Contemporary Celtic, folk and pop are the currents she explores, and her original lyrics flow around the music like water over rock.

Listening to Sydney’s music, you constantly remind yourself this is the art of a young woman just over twenty, a fighter and a poet who’s mined the issue of survival and honed an authentic sense of what unfolds at the heart of things.
