Comox Valley Naturalists Society Nature Walk
Join the Comox Valley Naturalists Society Thursday, April 14 on a nature walk through the Lazo Marsh Conservation Area and then along a forested pathway from Lazo Road to the beach off Curtis Road. We will see a variety of bird species such as spotted towhees, chestnut backed chickadees, downy woodpeckers and red breasted nuthatches and observe the plant life.
Meet at 9am at the Northeast Woods Lazo Marsh Conservation Area sign on Lazo Road, 49°41'4.99"N,124°53'28.02"W. The walk is expected to take 2-3 hours. Bring water and a snack. Parking is available at the side of Lazo Road and, nearby, at the junction of Lazo and Brent roads. FMI contact Robin at 339-4754.
