What's New at the Quadra Coastal Branch:
On July 29, 2011 Quadra Islanders and visitors gathered at the Community Centre Ball Field with lawn chairs and blankets and settled in under a beautiful evening sky to watch the movie Rio on a giant inflatable screen. This fun family event was a fundraiser for Discovery Islands Emergency Preparedness Association (DIEPA). The event was sponsored by Coastal Community Credit Union with generous support from other community businesses. Ruth Rombough and Tania McMartin of CCCU were thrilled to present DIEPA spokesperson Judy Hagen with a cheque for $2171.29.
