Invitation for the Campbell River Franco-Fête
Campbell River, June 15th, 2011. The Francophone Association of Campbell River, the Francophone school board, the Mer-et-montagne school and the French students Parents Association are pleased to invite you to attend the Franco-Fête that will be held on June 25th 2011 from 2pm to 9pm at the Mer-et- montagne school’s located at 1681, chemin Evergreen, Campbell River.
Planned as part of activities surrounding the celebration of Canada, the Francophone community invites people to this great family event under the sign of music. In the afternoon, there will be activities for the whole family, clowns and entertainers, performers from different ages in the region. Starting at 7:30pm, there will be a presentation of Starchild Entertainment who is Francophone artists in British Columbia. The admission is free.
In addition to promoting the richness of language and Francophone culture in the region, this event contributes to create a sense of pride and belonging to the cultural and linguistic diversity of Canada.
This initiative is made possible through a closed partnership between Francophone organizations in the region and is partially funded by Canadian Heritage through Celebration Canada funding program.
The Francophone Association of Campbell River is a non-profit organization promoting the richness of the French culture and language within the community of Campbell River, and Mer-et-montagne School is a French public school since 2005 offering a full curriculum in French from kindergarten to grade 12. High school courses are taught in schools and Carihi Phoenix.
