Dear Parents, Caregivers and Community Members,

Imagine if we were all given healthy tools to deal with stress as children. Please join us on Cortes Island for a FREE workshop on Sunday, November 6 from 11am - 5pm entitled:

Kids Have Stress Too: Promoting Resilience in our Children

Developed by the Psychology Foundation of Canada, the Kids Have Stress Too! Program is designed to help parents and caregivers understand stress and how to provide children with tools to deal with stress effectively. It is a broad-based primary prevention program to provide parents, caregivers, and communities with the knowledge, awareness, and skills to help young people become healthier and more resilient through learning how to manage their stress. KHST workshop participants will be introduced to information, activities and practical resources designed to enhance young children’s physical, mental, emotional and behavioural coping skills, thinking styles and abilities.

Learn about recent research that shows how stress affects children, then spend the remainder of the day sharing and co-learning with other parents, exploring helpful activities and brainstorming strategies.
