My wife Jude and I moved to this incredible island six years ago from California. We aren't citizens yet, so we can't vote Saturday. If we could, it would be for Jim Abram. I met Jim working on the Lucky Jim Mine project. As he's so skilled at doing, Jim had found some grant money to cover the two open shafts with grating rather than having to fill it in, which would have obliterated some Quadra history.
Jim worked the entire three days with the rest of us in miserable weather. This truly impressed me because a U.S. politician would have shown up for the photo op, then gone home. And Jim has stayed the course on several other projects I've worked with him.
Keeping Jim in office gives us the continued advantage of his experience and contacts. He is passionate about serving us all. Let's let him keep doing just that.
