Just voted in the population growth poll and it prompted me to remind everyone who is participating in the various Community Planning processes not to forget to plan for our seasonal residents and visitors. Our 'summer' population is our population for 30% of the year and has as much if not more impact on life on Quadra than our year-round pop. The last figure that I heard reported was a peak of 10,000. Our ferries, roads, health and emergency services, water and sewage systems... need to be able to support this growing number not just 2500.
