On Saturday, March 3 Mimi Smienk of Open Bay Farm will demonstrate the process of making soft cheese with fresh local cow's milk. Mimi has been making soft cheeses with her gost's milk for yesrs. Any one who has had the good fortune of tasting her fresh chevre can attest to her cheese making talent. She will be joined by Amanda Stewart- Webb who will share her experiences in making hard cheeses. Amanda is the author of a blog about her farming experiences.
