We have a window of opportunity to show all of Canada and the world we do NOT want the Enbridge Tar Sands Pipeline recklessly crossing our province (nor their oil tankers leaking down our coast.)
On Saturday, March 31st, the National Energy Board will be in Comox conducting a hearing for the Northern Gateway Pipeline. The hearing will be the first one in Southern BC and we want to make sure that the members of the panel know that there is massive opposition to the pipeline and tanker project.
Joining a big Rally outside the hearing will be our chance to show this. The strong centre of the Rally will be from 1 - 2 pm, but there will also be events all day. More details later.
Travelling together to the Rally by Bus: If you let me know right away, and there are enough of us, we can go down to Comox on a chartered bus(es): $9.00/seat, return. Call me at 285-2771.

The Comox Rec. Centre, 1855 Noel Ave, however the Rally is at the back side of the bldg., off of Robb Rd. When you enter Comox and pass the hospital, turn left on Anderton Rd. Robb Rd. and Noel Ave. are the 2nd and 3rd roads on the right.

Where is this hearing being held? If some of us can make it there by ourselves, it would be nice to know where to go!
