We’re very excited that Bob McDonald, CBC’s science guy, will be on Quadra to launch the campaign to Save the Heart of Quadra Parks. He'll be speaking at a fundraising dinner at the Heriot Bay Inn on June 16 at 6pm. Tickets are selling fast so don’t delay if you are interested in hearing him.

As host of Quirks and Quarks, and the science commentator for CBC News Network, Bob is one of Canada’s best known science journalists, an Officer of the Order of Canada and recipient of numerous other awards. His presentation at the HBI, “Perspectives on a Planet,” will look at the Earth in its full environmental context.

Also on June 16 there will be a fabulous silent auction. You don’t have to be at the dinner to participate. Check out the Sierra Club BC website to see the Auction Items and for instructions about bidding on line or by mail.
As well the Heriot Bay Inn website (click on Events), lists all the items and how to bid.

Note: For Auction Items you can also download the Word doc attached to this article.

Please spread the word about the Bob McDonald event and the auction. For more information on Save the Heart of Quadra Parks and ways you can help, go to
