Do you want to know more about roses and which kind grow well in this area? Are you interested in using plants and shrubs that are "proven winners" here? Are you in the process of blending an old garden with a new garden? How about combining a native garden with more modern plants? The owners of the gardens in this year's Quilt and Garden Tour might be just the kind of "experts" to steer you in the right direction.

To add to your pleasure as you tour the island, the quilters are offering a selection of quilts which haven't been shown before in gardens on the Quilt and Garden Tour. There are between 70 and 100 beautiful quilts ranging in size from king sized bed quilts to letter sized Journal quilts. Quilters will be on hand to answer questions and share their love of quilting.

This two day event is a fund raiser for the Quadra Island Community Centre and the Quadra Island Quilt Guild. All the proceeds go directly back into the community to support island based projects. Tickets are now on sale for $12.00 per person at Hummingbird, Works of H'Art in Heriot Bay, the Quadra Island Tourist Information Bureau, and in Campbell River at the Tourist Information Centre, Serendipity, and Willow Point.

A huge thank you to the island advertisers who are helping to make this event successful - check your ticket brochure for more information on their services.
