Jaron Freeman-Fox and the Opposite of Everything perform this Thursday July 19th at 8 pm at the Quadra Community Centre. Don't miss out the chance to laugh, dance, and be amazed with this diverse cast of Toronto's most adventurous muscians.
Described as "Gogol Bordello meets the Punch Brothers" or "Tom Waits leads the Mahavishnu Orchestra", The Opposite of Everything
somehow combine bluegrass with Indian music, African beats with sea shanties, or klezmer with the blues, and make it sound like the most nautural thing in the world. The band is led by maniac violin virtuoso Jaron Freeman Fox
, known for his work with Delhi2Dublin, The David Woodhead Confabulaiton, and many top Canadian acts.
Jaron returns briefly to his island roots with his fiery band, on their way home from playing the Vancouver Folk Music Fest.
Tickets: $15 at the door (sliding scale available; kids under 12 free with family).
