Welcome to the second Save The Heart of Quadra Parks Auction and Celebration! This event – at TsaKwaLuten Lodge on September 22 at 7pm – celebrates the community's support to complete Quadra's greenways through the purchase of land adjoining Waiatt Bay and Octopus Islands parks.

Tickets for the event are $25. Enjoy a glass of wine, hors d'oeuvres and music, and a feature talk by Vancouver Sun columnist Stephen Hume. A silent and a live auction will round out the evening's entertainment!

When you make a successful bid at the auctions, not only will you be purchasing wonderful items but you'll be helping to make this last fundraiser a huge success.
The campaign coffers are at well over $100,000, funds which will help to bring the heartland into the provincial park fold. Thank you for participating!

If you are unable to be at the September 22 auction and celebration you can still participate in the silent auction by mail, by advance drop-off, or by email. See details below.

On all advance bids, please include your name, address, phone number and email address if applicable. BE SURE TO CLEARLY INDICATE WHICH ITEMS YOUR ARE BIDDING ON AND THE AMOUNT OF YOUR BID ON EACH ITEM.

By mail:Mark the envelope with Auction Bid and mail to Quadra Island Conservancy, Box 202, Heriot Bay, V0P 1H0. Your bid must be received by Friday September 21.

By drop off: Place your sealed bid in the envelope at Hummingbird Office and Art Supply. Deadline is 5 pm Friday September 21.

These bids will be kept strictly confidential until 8:30 pm on the night of the auction, after the onsite silent bids have been closed. Successful bidders will be notified either at the fundraiser or by phone or email by September 25. Payment must be by cheque only and made out to the Quadra Island Conservancy and Stewardship Society.

Live auction items

• Day trip for two to Rosen Lake, Read Island. Boat from Heriot Bay, walk to secluded Rosen Lake, gourmet lunch and a swim (weather permitting). Explore the area and return to Heriot Bay before dinner. Minimum bid $100

• Space for two people on the classic boat Columbia III for a day trip to Octopus Islands Oct 21 or Oct 22, 2012. These are the trips which Mothership Adventures has offered to those who have donated $1000 or more. Works of H’Art $1,000 Club Member and Claire Trevena and Mike McIvor have donated their spots on the boat to this auction. Value: $1000. Minimum bid $250 each

• Share a great lunch at the legislature in Victoria with North Island MLA Claire Trevena. If the legislature is in session, a seat in the observation balcony is guaranteed. Value $50
