On Saturday February 16 Sierra Quadra is pleased to announce a talk by Cortes Islander and biologist Sabina Leader-Mense. Sabina is the founder of the Cortes Community Wolf Project, an initiative that provides information for rural communities about living harmoniously with the wild wolves that, like us, call these islands home. In her characteristic lively style, Sabina will present the knowledge and understanding she's gained from years of studying the Cortes wolves. She'll be joined in her presentation by a Vancouver Island conservation officer who works closely with the project.
Like all Sierra events, Learning to Live with Wild Wolves takes place at the Quadra Community Centre. Join us on Saturday February 16 at 7:30pm. Admission is by donation, the usual assortment of yummy desserts and hot drinks will be available, and doors open at 7pm.
(Astute readers of the Quadra Rec Brochure will note that this event replaces the film Black Wave, which we'll save for a rainy day. Or night. Or not.)
