During the overnight hours of Sunday April 7, 2013 a break in occurred at the Quadra Island Golf Course where a very large quantity of golf balls were stolen. The suspect(s) returned to the golf course the following night and stole a large quantity of empty recyclable drink containers. The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) likely used a wheeled cart to move the stolen items from the golf course. Enquiries have determined that during the time of the thefts a male was observed pushing a shopping cart in the area and he is described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, stocky with bushy orange hair and beard wearing a blue plaid shirt and pyjama bottoms. The Quadra Island RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in solving this crime and request that anyone with information regarding this male or the stolen golf balls and drinks containers contact the Detachment at 285-3631 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
