Thanks to Ruth McMonagle for pointing out the need to purchase real books at real bookstores, just like the rest of life, it is real when we are present.
To be sure you are all aware that we have real bookstores on our islands too and point out that shopping locally does improve local community as your dollars go directly towards feeding families of local owners.
On Quadra we are blessed with 2 bookstores and the library, all in Quathiaski Cove; Book Bonanaza with shelfs, and stacks of books, mostly new and some used, and Spirit Books in the Upper Realm has mostly used books of spiritual questing nature, and on Cortes we have Marnie's books in Manson's Landing also with a great diversity, the outdoor BookShelf in Whaletown and the Free Store in Squirrel Cove. You are sure to find something to read for every reader in your family while visiting the islands. Is there a bookstore on Read Island, or any other local islands? My apologies if I am missing the inclusion of any other island bookstores, please let us know about your books!
We also have authors on island, check out Amped On Nutrition for Barbara Mindell's newest published cookbook, "Cooking Your Bummers Out", with amazing tasty gluten-free vegan recipes for easy digestion that will impress all your relatives afraid to try new foods.
We carry books as well!

Just a reminder that Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre carries a nice variety of First Nations themed books as well as some titles focused on the local area.
