Hello Discovery Islands Ecosystem Mapping aficionados!
The DIEM Project's Citizen Science Summer 2013 program is starting off with a Blitz! – a Bioblitz! that is: Come one, come all to the Whaletown Comons Bioblitz! on Cortes Island.
We're starting off with:
1. Moss & Lichen Field Identification Workshop on July 11 from 10am - 1pm at the Whaletown Commons. Please see attachment for details.
2. Whaletown Commons Bioblitz! A 24 hour
celebration of Biodiversity. From noon on July 13 to noon July 14. Schedule of events TBA shortly.
Getting there: Cortesians are providing transportation for our neighbouring Discovery Islanders for both events; just walk on the Heriot Bay ferry and we will pick you up in Whaletown bay and transport you to/ from the Whaletown commons. Please call Sabina at 250 935 6467 or e-mail slmensetelus.net to request a pickup
We're looking forward to seeing you there!
