Do you want to participate in a delightful pick-me-up for the beginning of 2014? Join us on Monday January 13th 7pm at the Community Centre for an interesting evening. Photos of a summer garden can be joyfully shocking in the middle of the low light and often frozen season of the year. The Garden Club meeting will give you a pleasant reminder of how green and full of life it is on Quadra during the growing season. Last year Club members photographed their gardens at the peak of summer, to share these images at the first winter meeting. Don Mottershead, leader of the Q I Photo Club, has developed an inspiring hour long slide show as a result of these submitted pictures. The photographers will be asked to say a few words about their garden scenes. Come out and enjoy.
The Club meets on the second Monday of each month except for holidays. Membership is $10 per year or $15 for the family, $3 for drop ins. There is a guest speaker at each meeting as well as a plant sale table, general gardening information for the beginner to the experienced, and of course, yummy refreshments. Join us this winter and share our dreams for gardens to come. Everyone welcome.
