Friends of Cortes Island
Presented by Stacey Corriveau of the BC Centre for Social Enterprise

Are you on the board of a charity or director of a local organization?
Then this is just the training for you!!

This first part of this workshop will address the often confusing issue of charitable compliance and will aim to empower local organizations to be more confident in engaging in local partnerships. The second part of the training will explore how charities can engage in the emerging sector of social enterprise. Through boosting the knowledge base of board members and directors, this workshop aims to build local capacity. By allowing us to be more confident in managing our organizations, we can become more effective in creating partnerships that maximize our social and financial resources.
