Lawrie Bowles will present "Images of the Central Coast" taken while on a photography cruise last June aboard the “Mothership”, the Columbia III. The six-day tour started from Bella Bella and cruised in a circuit up the Central Coast into the “Great Bear Rainforest” and back down the outer islands returning to Bella Bella. Daily trips in the vessel's Zodiak visited land at various nature and wildlife interpretative sites to view pristine coastal ecosystems, bears (grizzly and black), wolves, sea otters and sea lions. A professional photographer, Boomer Jerret from Courtenay, accompanied the group providing instruction, tips, group discussions and much constructive encouragement.
Sponsored by the Quadra Island Outdoor Club. Tea and coffee will be provided - snacks by potluck. No charge, everyone welcome.
