SEAFEST 2014 has truly become a moveable feast. After an initial 10 years at Smelt Bay Park, and almost another 10 years at Squirrel Cove, the Oyster Festival is moving this year on May 17 to the Gorge Harbour Marina. Because it seems right to share, it is now Whaletown’s turn to be the site of this amazing day of enjoying good food and island life with neighbors and visitors.

We hope to see you & your friends & family there! Serving begins at 11:30. Oysters, prawns, clams, mussels, salmon, salad, artisan bread, kid's menu, deserts. $20 price includes ticket for raw oyster shooter.

Shuttles will be in place (more details later) or bring your bike as the Gorge Marina is only a 15 minute (hilly) bike ride. Or come the night before and stay for the weekend!

We are deeply grateful to O’Byrne Taylor and the staff at Squirrel Cove General Store, who have been consistently helpful and accommodating of the crazy moments that happen when you fix a gourmet lunch on camp stoves for more than 500 people. And we are looking forward to an enlarged festival site, expanded facilities, off-road parking, and new views at Gorge Harbour Marina.
