Carolyn Herriot, gardener, cook, author, and seed collector, will be the guest speaker at the Garden Club meeting on Monday, September 8th, 7 pm at the Community Centre. Her new cookbook, Zero Mile Diet, offers seasonal recipes for delicious homegrown food. Learn the many ways of preserving your harvest by attending this first meeting of the fall session, one day after our fabulous ‘Fall Fair’. Carolyn operated The Garden Path Nursery (certified organic) in Victoria from 1989 - 2006, from which grew her organic seed business ‘Seeds of Victoria’. She shares her passion for plants in public lectures and workshops and as a garden writer for CommonGround and BC Homes & Gardens magazines. She is author of A Year on the Garden Path, a 52 week Organic Gardening Guide, The Zero Mile Diet, a Year-round Guide to Growing Organic Food, and now The Zero Mile Diet Cookbook.
