Taylor and Yourk offer a five-part series that takes you through a nonfiction writing project from start to finish. Interactive discussion and exercises cover a range of subjects, from research to organizing and planning your project, to storytelling devices and publication options. You’ll use your current writing project as a base for in-class and homework exercises to hone your skills, giving your project a jump start for winter writing. This class, to be held at the Museum at Campbell River on Sunday afternoons, costs $160 and includes a comprehensive manual.

A Writers’ Workshop: a Guided Writers’ Group for Exercises and Peer Reviews
October 4 – November 29, on alternate Saturdays, 5 Sessions
Campbell River Arts Council, Sybil Andrews Cottage, Willow Point
The Campbell River Arts Council offers a bi-monthly gathering place for writers to engage in facilitated writing exercises and monthly peer critiques, with Jeanette Taylor and Annette Yourk. This is a relaxed and interactive forum where you can tune up your writing skills and practice new techniques. It’s an opportunity to meet other writers and share your challenges and solutions. There will be a specific theme for each session and you'll get peer reviews of your writing through read aloud exercises and in writing.
