Robyn Budd for Sierra Quadra
In step with Sierra Quadra's new season of presenters and films – all involved in some way with 'Inspiring Activism' – we're offering an informal, fun instructional series on social media. We're calling our series 'The Toolkit Sessions', because we want to help folks get comfy with social media as a tool for making their voices heard on the issues that concern them.
Who's the course for? It's for people who feel a tad shy about using social media but who think it might be time to learn. Folks curious about getting onto Facebook but who don't want to have their lives on world-wide display! People who want to know the how-to's as well as the how-NOT-to's.
We've got it covered.
Deb Cowper's our instructor for the first Toolkit Session, and she'll get you all warm and fuzzy about Facebook. Our second Toolkit Session will introduce Twitter and other fun things.
Toolkit Session 1 is scheduled from 7 to 9pm on Tuesday September 30 in Room 2 (the board room) at Quadra Community Centre. Space is limited, so please call me, Robyn, at 250-285-3563, or send us a message (under the Help & Options menu) to register.
The Toolkit Sessions are available by donation.
Hope to see you there! Laptops and tablets welcome.

What a great idea - wish I could come, but alas! Can't imagine better instructors. Have fun learning!
