Gowlland Harbour Resort
Gowlland Harbour Resort and SouthEnd Farm & Vineyards is excited to announce the second annual ‘At The Table’ Food + Drink Series held at Gowlland Harbour Resort on Quadra Island, BC on four dates: Nov. 15, Dec. 6, Feb. 7 and Mar. 7.

The series consists of four Saturday evening events featuring a unique selection of Vancouver Island wines, craft beers, meads and distilled spirits paired with unique and imaginative dinner menus created by Gowlland Harbour Resort’s Executive Chef, Mariana Gabilondo.

This year’s theme, ‘Food & Literature, Writers & Spirits: A Pairing Event’, was inspired by a love of literature and the fact that many celebrated authors from around the world were also known for their love of food and drink — whether they wove it into the characters they wrote about or they themselves were famous (or infamous!) for their culinary and liquid cravings — there is always a story to tell of good food and fine drink.

Guests will enjoy a four-course plated dinner with pairings to go with each course. The co-hosts, Chef Mariana Gabilondo and Winemaker Jill Ogaswara, will present each menu item with a brief talk about the inspiration for the dish and the choice of pairing. As well, each evening will have at least one unexpected culinary surprise that really had guests talking last year!
