Green Urban Planner to Wrap Up the Fair
David Rousseau of Archemy Consulting Ltd. will be one of the presenters at the Quadra Sustainable Energy Fair. His talk, 'Putting it all together at the community level', is scheduled for 5:15pm on Saturday, January 26th.
Archemy Consulting is an environmental consulting company specialized in green buildings, green urban planning and related programs, and education. The company has done extensive work in Canada, the US and China.
David is trained in engineering, environmental studies, architecture, urban planning and toxicology. He has decades of experience with healthy buildings, advanced energy efficiency, water and waste recycling systems, green materials and construction. He has guided the design of landmark green projects and led the development of green building performance assessment tools and programs for municipalities and the private sector. In addition he has authored two books, 'Environmental by Design' and 'Healthy Design'.
David’s presentation will show examples of communities that have adopted strong social, ecological and economic sustainability standards in Canada and Europe. His talk will show how to integrate renewable energy systems into buildings.
David’s talk is the ideal wrap-up to the Fair, which commences on Friday night at 7:30 pm with a keynote address by urban developer Joe Van Belleghem, and continues on Saturday with presentations and exhibits ranging from greywater recycling to home energy audits.
