Strathcona Regional District
The Strathcona Regional District is currently investigating the feasibility of providing a dog control service for Quadra Island and is seeking to determine whether there is capacity to provide this service locally.
The expression of interest should include a resume of relevant experience and demonstrated ability to provide the service including the handling of dangerous dogs, seizing dogs at large, dealing with enforcement issues, responding to call outs and providing safe and humane veterinary care, transport and shelter for impounded dogs.
This is not a request for proposals or a pre-qualification for potential service providers and there is no intent to award a contract at this time. Responses will only be used to investigate the feasibility of providing a dog control service on Quadra Island and will be kept confidential. The Strathcona Regional District may conduct a formal Request for Proposals in the future should a dog control service be established.
Expressions of interest will be received at the Strathcona Regional District office at Suite 301-990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 7Z8, up until 2:00 pm, Pacific Time, October 9, 2015.
