On January 15th, 2016 Quadra RCMP received a report of a male causing a disturbance at the Peoples Drug Mart in Quathiaski Cove. Police later located the male and had him return to the store where he apologized for his behaviour. No charges will be laid in this matter.

On January 16th, 2016 at 430am Quadra RCMP responded to a report of a Break and Enter in progress into the Quathiaski Ferry Terminal. Police located 7 people inside the building (4 young adults and 3 youth) who stated that they were trying to get out of the rain by crawling through a window at the Ferry Terminal. All people were cooperative with police except one male who gave police a false name. A small amount of marijuana was seized. Some parents were woken up by a phone call from police regarding their children's early morning activities. Possible charges or alternative measures may be sought.
On January 16th, 2016 at 605am Quadra RCMP were investigating the Break and Enter at the Ferry Terminal and located a male who was passed out in his car with the engine running. The officer tried to wake the male several times without success as the male was in a deep sleep. The officer also noted a strong odour of liquor inside the vehicle. The male provided two breath samples into two different screening devices both resulting in a Fail. The male was issued a 90 Day Immediate Roadside Prohibition from driving and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
