Would you like to know more about the feathered inhabitants of Quadra? To be able to identify the different species that live around us? This course will give you the basic skills to understand and identify our feathered friends. You will learn:
- A methodical approach to identifying birds

- About birding tools, from books to binoculars

- Basic bird biology and behavior

- An introduction to birding by ear – recognizing birdsongs

Two classroom sessions will be followed by a weekend outing to look for birds in the field.

Fee: $45 (a portion of the fees will be donated to Bird Studies Canada)
