The Comedy of Music, conducted by the hilarious character Maestro Oscar Stickman (performed by Konstantin Bozhinov) is coming to the Quadra Island Community Centre October 1.

The show presents a satirical view on modern culture and a wonderful reassessment of the arts and their role in contemporary society. Maestro Stickman accomplishes this with his brilliant use of a multitude of musical instruments and an assortment of songs and dances, wrapped in layers of comical stories and anecdotes.

If you struggle to see the point of a symphony orchestra, or of Mozart, this show is for you. But no matter if your preference is for dance, for singing, for music, or just plain old jokes about violins and politicians, Maestro Stickman has it all!

Konstantin Ruslanov Bozhinov is a versatile musician, scholar, and entertainer. He specializes in improvisation, composition, and character comedy and enjoys a busy concert schedule as soloist, collaborator, and educator. Individuality and originality through improvisation and composition are at the core of Konstantin's philosophy and approach to music and theatre. Konstantin is presently a PhD candidate in historical musicology.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for under-12,
