Fresh off the airplane from Ecuador, married musical duo Zonnis are coming to Quadra Island this summer! Based in Victoria B.C., singer/songwriters Adam and Andrea Zonnis are bringing their brand of “Cabaret Folk” to the people in an epic 4-month tour of Western Canada. The “No Town Too Small” Tour will take Zonnis to over 50 dates at pubs, coffee shops, arts centres, living rooms, ranches and music festivals as far east as Winnipeg. Traveling with their 3-year-old son Zander, Zonnis are the modern day troubadour family sharing their songs and stories across the continents from Canada, the USA, Costa Rica, Mexico and Ecuador.
Andrea’s soulful, striking voice mixed with Adam’s wit and grit combine to create music that is heartfelt, humorous and poignant to the times and the timeless. Upbeat and fun, with a small twist of debauchery, their theatrical music will take you on a journey from the depth of your soul to the tip of your tongue. Mashing up genres of folk, blues, reggae and old school country with a touch of rock and a whole lot of soul, this cabaret show is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Adam and Andrea were born in the same hospital 7 weeks apart but didn’t meet until later in their 20’s at an open mic in Victoria. It’s not hard to tell that these two are soul mates, as their music reflects their love for each other and the world they live in. Although Zonnis and Zonnis have been a part of the BC music scene for many years it wasn’t until the birth of their son Zander that they decided to hit the road and make music a full-time priority. “We want to show Zander that the world is a beautiful place and to teach him how to live his dreams. Some people settle down and buy a house when they decide to have children, we bought an RV instead.” says Andrea Zonnis. This is the 3rd year in a row that Zonnis will on the road and they don’t show any signs of stopping soon!
