Sailing Cancellation and Vessel Replacement Powell River Queen
Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove) to Vancouver Island (Campbell River)
September 30, 2017 - October 23, 2017
On Saturday September 30, the first Scheduled Sailing from Quathiaski Cove to Campbell River at 7:05 am has been cancelled to conduct a Transport Canada drill. The drill will be taking place on board the MV Powell River Queen, in Quathiaski Cove, from 5:45 am to 7:30 am on Saturday September 30.

The MV Powell River Queen will be temporarily removed from service for scheduled maintenance on Saturday September 30, 2017 through to the end of day Monday October 23, 2017. The MV Bowen Queen will be the replacement vessel and will commence the regular sailing schedule starting with the 7:30 am sailing from Campbell River on Saturday September 30, 2017.

Due to the deck configuration the MV Bowen Queen has limited over height space and all vehicles over 6’8” in height, for all destinations, will be sorted to the over height lanes to maximize loading capacity. Customers may notice a change to lane assignments both in the terminal and on the ship; the maximum width for this vessel is 10’.

The MV Powell River Queen will resume service with the 6:25 am sailing from Quathiaski Cove on October 24, 2017.

BC Ferries would like to thank its customers for their patience and understanding during this maintenance period.
