Keep the Hallowe’en magic going and come see Theatre Quadra’s production of Cinderella, The Magic Pantomime Adventure at the Quadra Community Centre on November 17, 18, and 19.
There’s Cinderella and her Prince and, of course, two very ugly stepsisters and their very mean mom. A wondrous Fairy Godmother will be making her magic plus animals and a spooky tree.
Theatre Quadra, local actors, artists, costumers and a variety of other skilled volunteers have been working very hard to make the magic that brings to life this enchanting fairy tale.
A pumpkin will become Cinderella’s carriage. The stepsister will give the phrase ‘beauty treatment’ a whole new meaning and Cinderella will be turned into a princess.
There will be song and dance, zany intrigues, a scary forest and a great cast of Quadra actors. Written by “the wittiest and most original writer working in pantomime today”, this classic English Christmas season panto is great fun for all ages.
And, prepare to get involved yourself – there will be lots of actor/audience interplay. Girls are encouraged to dress up as fairies or princesses and to wave their wands to help the Fairy Godmother. Boys can take charge of getting the whole audience to cheer the good guys and boo the bad ones.
Treat yourself and your kids to some pre-Christmas fun and laughs. Cinderella runs at the Quadra Community Centre on Friday and Saturday evenings, November 17th and 18th, with a matinee Sunday afternoon, November 19th. Tickets are $15 for adults and seniors, $10 for students, with children under 12 admitted free.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity for family fun! Tickets are available at Inspirations and Works of H’Art on Quadra Island, and Music Plant in Campbell River.
