Quadra Singers
Singin’ the Holidays and Ring in the New Year this December brought to you by Quadra Singers and Friends

On Saturday Dec. 9, Quadra Singers and Friends will perform a mixture of funny, retro and uplifting songs. Our previous Music Director Linda Cannon has retired – this will be the first Quadra Singers concert under the direction of the multi-talented Kate Alexandra. Raised on Quadra, Kate has co-directed the island's Sing For Pure Joy! group since 2015 and previously directed a similar group while living in Vancouver. Kate has also played a prominent role in several local theatre productions. When not on stage or at choir practice, Kate can be found teaching yoga, dance, voice and theatre to kids and adults. Kate’s abundant energy and good humour is an inspiration to the singers. Come join in the fun!

“The December concert will feature a mixture of styles including classic Christmas songs, songs from musicals and films, and songs by talented contemporary composers Brian Tate and Ola Gjeilo” says choir director Kate Alexander. “We look forward to welcoming our family, friends and neighbours to an evening of music that lifts our spirits, makes us smile and inspires us with goodwill”
Guest performers include Jim and Denis Thieven as well as the choir and smaller singing groups.
