This Sunday, December 3rd at 1 pm, Hereditary Chief George Quocksister Jr. of the Laichwiltach Nation is calling on all First Nations, environmentalists and concerned peoples to peacefully and respectfully demonstrate in front of the Browns Bay Packing Company's farmed salmon processing plant north of Campbell River.

Last week's video of fish farm blood water spewing out of the processing pipe, and then testing positive for dangerous PRV virus, has angered many.

It is all the more frustrating since Minister of Fisheries Dominic LeBlanc has been ordered by a judge – but yet still refuses – to test farmed fish for PRV virus before they're moved from hatcheries into open ocean pens.

The highly contagious PRV virus wouldn't be in the blood water effluent in the first place if Minister LeBlanc would simply follow the law.

Media has expressed an interest in coming to this event. The weather forecast looks good, so please come out and show your support – and bring some signs too!
