Public Talk on Thursday, January 25, 2018
Quadra Community Centre, Rm 1 (downstairs)

People with dementia are unable to communicate as well as they once did. Caregivers, loved ones, friends and neighbours are the ones who have to adjust their communication styles because those with dementia no longer can. The trick is to figure out what technique will work in which situation.

“We can't talk about shared experiences any more because she doesn't remember them. I only get glimpses of the woman she was.“

“You have to put the person you knew behind you and make a relationship with the person who is in front of you.”

Join Jude McCormick, retired nurse, in this 3rd public talk to learn tools to help you or to be able to support your family and friends No need to register. For more info contact
