Sierra Quadra
On Saturday February 17 Jackie Hildering – the intrepid Marine Detective – returns for another action-packed Sierra Quadra presentation! Jackie is an acclaimed educator who’ll trace back our human social evolution with Killer Whales, discussing how these whales are powerful indicators of human value systems. Her presentation will be all about capacity for positive change and common solutions to socio-environmental problems. And yes, she’ll discuss the dilemma of naming them ‘Killer Whales’ versus ‘Orcas’!
Many of you will remember Jackie’s standing-room-only presentation on Humpback Whales this past fall. Donations will go to the Marine Education and Research Society of which she is founder.
Admission is by donation, doors open at 7, Jackie’s presentation begins at 7:30. This promises to be another great family-friendly event, so come early for a good seat!
