The biennial Quilt and Garden Tour takes place on June 23, 24 from 10 am to 4 pm each day. Tickets are $15 and good for both days. All proceeds stay on the island and help fund the Recreation Society's Children's programming and the Quilters Marathon.
There will be over 100 quilts hanging in 10 of the gardens on the tour. The quilts have been pieced by members of the Quadra Island Quilters Guild over the past two years. There are wall hangings, baby quilts, single and queen sized quilts all different patterns and colours. The gardens are varied from specialty gardens to small farms with livestock, particularly goats. Seeing quilts hanging in a garden is quite different from seeing them in your home or in a gallery. The tour is about 30 km and the gardens are located in the South part of the island. Tickets are now available at Inspirations and at Works of H'Art.
