For our Spring concert 2019 Quadra Singers and Friends will perform music primarily from the Big Band and jazz eras of the 1940s-60s. Do you wonder how a choir can perform the Pink Panther? Come join us and find out! The songs we will perform at this concert are infectiously fun and we can’t wait to share them with you. Lots of doo doo’s and boo bahps! Kate is getting us to hone our skills as jazz singers. We are always looking for singers, especially for the Tenor and Bass sections, so consider joining us for the Fall 2019 session as we live up to our Sing, Learn, Laugh motto. Practices are lots of fun!
“The Spring concert features songs recorded by The Manhattan Transfer, classics such as In the Mood and Chattanooga Choo Choo, and some other beautiful arrangements of jazz standards that I’m sure you will recognize.” says choir director Kate Alexandra. “We look forward to getting your toes tapping and raising your spirits at this year’s joyous Spring concert. We invite you to come hear how our community choir is expanding its range and pushing its musical boundaries.”
Guest performers include Dave Blinzinger (Tenor Sax), Brian Wilson (Bass) Dave Tolley (Drums) as well as the choir and smaller singing groups.
