The Garden Club welcomes horticulturist Carolyn Jones, on Monday April 14th, 7pm at the CC. If you are seeking sun and warmth come out for this presentation and enjoy the Mediterranean from your chair at the community centre. Trained as a biologist, Carolyn, writes on a wide range of topics related to gardening and garden history. All enthusiastic gardeners love to study plants and the landscape of their origin. The presentation explores the contrast between the dry Mediterranean landscape and the sumptous gardens created by the Moors in Grananda up to the 1400s. The Alhambra Place complex has been painstakingly restored and is open to the public.

Along with the special guest speaker, each April we offer a giant sale to share local plants. The money earned from the sale helps to sponsor lecutrers and supports local community projects. If you have plants to donate please bring them at 6:30, labelled. Cost at the door will be $10 for non members.
