Tuesday's presentation on sustainable salmon farming is sponsored by the Georgia Strait Alliance, Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform, and Living Oceans Society. The presenters are Michelle Young and Will Soltau.
Michelle Young
Salmon Aquaculture Campaigner
Georgia Strait Alliance
Michelle’s involvement with fish farming came from her personal concern for the environment, and she studied, wrote letters to government and industry, and blogged about the issue. But that was not enough and she decided to change her career as a Chartered Accountant to work in the environmental sector after volunteering for Georgia Strait Alliance. She has valuable experience in working with local, regional, and First Nation governments and non profit organizations. Michelle lives in Bowser on Vancouver Island.
