Quadra's own Shane Philip is playing a free concert August 10 in the parking lot of Village Square in front of Cafe Aroma, Niko's Sushi, and Out For Adventure. Shane will be preceded by special guests Smokey Dymny and Art Vipond. Vendors and other fun will be happening that afternoon, as Shane Philip headlines what will hopefully be the first of many summer events at Village Square. Presented by Cafe Aroma, the event will begin at 1:00 PM with vendors and other fun stuff. The legendary Smokey Dymny will open the music at 2:00 PM, followed at 2:45 by Quadra singer-songwriter Art Vipond. Shane hits the stage for the main act at 3:30. Things should wrap up around 5 or 5:30, (depending on how many encores Shane is willing to play).
Come out and move and groove to Shane and his musical guests and enjoy the good island vibes August 10. Cafe Aroma, Niko's Sushi, and Quadra Station PetroCan will be open for your food and bevaerage needs. Bring lawn chairs; no seating will be available at the concert site.
