Three Cortes Island artists are featured at CR Art Gallery this summer, celebrated at an opening Aug 16 at 1:30 p.m. Meinsje Vlaming's exhibition of figurative sculptures opened July 4. She's joined on Aug 16 by abstract painter Hannes Grosse. In the Gallery's satellite cases are vibrant paintings by Dianne Bersea. All three will be on hand at the opening on Aug 16.

Vlamings' exquisitely detailed sculptures are loaded with inner meaning and a harbinger's message. Hannes Grosse's large abstract paintings suggest the seacoast and his former home in the desert. Bersea has a strong following for her vibrant paintings that reflect her passion for the coast.
