What a great day for lift-off! We brought the gumboot to lunch – or is that 'launch'? – at Café Aroma this past Sunday, and the island response was wonderful. Three computers, two people in gumboot hats, many conversations and lots of folks taking the boot for a test ride – all fueled by Aroma's great java and generous hospitality – it was great fun, and the gumboot's wings are definitely in fine working order!
Everyone who put something on the boot (right then and there) put their name in the big green gumboot for our very first draw. And the winner (as selected by our Number One Fan) is one of our sponsors, potter Christine Husson, who may be seen sporting her new blue gumboot cap. Way to go, Christine!
